Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas night sky became a bit brighter as we celebrated Nevada’s recent and past medalists of the Congressional Award. The private room at the posh location blocks away from the Strip was filled to the brim of warm congratulations, resounding laughter and polite chatter.
This was the night our elected officials recognized the outstanding achievements of our youth in their dedication to participating in the Congressional Award program and a pristine opportunity to share the greatness of this program with the esteemed guests in attendance.
We also celebrated and introduced the first ever appointed Congressional Award Council of Nevada and conducted a special ceremony with the installation of its first officers by our guest judge.
From the sounds of live jazz oozing out into the vibrant crowd, the colorful flavors of Indian cuisine satiating palettes, to the dignified performance of the Color Guards of the 802nd Cadet Squadron Civil Air Patrol at the start of the program and the ever-entertaining Mayor Carolyn Goodman and former mayor Oscar Goodman, the night was undoubtedly a brilliant success.
